Wagah is a small village situated between Pakistan and India major cities: Lahore and Amritsar. Wagah Border is the crucial point for each country, as it’s a passageway for tourist. Since 1959, a Wagah Border Flag Ceremony is organized for public in order to honour the national flag by lowering it down and officially close the border at the time of sunset. The border seems like a battleground during the ceremony, as the procession is conducted on both sides of border with loud shouts and heavy foot-stomping by Soldiers. This ceremony continues for 45 minutes and it’s a way of entertainment for Pakistani and Indian public. UrduPoint interviewed the brave soldiers who are the part of Flag Lowering ceremony.
